La struttura è una vecchia fabbrica di formaggi della Locatelli.
Recuperati i muri, un bellissimo sottotetto in travi a vista e grandi pilastri in mattoni vecchi; il pavimento in pietra sollevato e riposato. L’arredo prevede soltanto un grande banco bar di 34 metri di lunghezza, un palco tondo su ruote industriali, un po’ di velluti appesi in alcune zone ai travetti esistenti. Le vecchie buche per i formaggi sono utilizzate come vasi porta-alberi. Nell’immaginario del progettista il banco, completamente rivestito in pelle, simboleggia un grande serpente che si snoda dentro un quadro; in sospensione un’iride attraversa lo spazio passando nel quadro fino al fondale-palco.



The structure is a former cheese factory of the Locatelli firm. The walls have been reclaimed, along with a beautiful raftered ceiling and large pillars built of old bricks, while the stone floor has been raised and relaid. The only furnishings are a large bar counter, 34 metres long, a round platform on industrial wheels, lengths of velvet hung from the rafters in a few places. The former holes for cheese are used as pots for trees. In the designer’s imagination the bar counter, completely covered with leather, symbolizes a huge snake winding through a picture, while a suspended iris traverses the space, passing through the picture as far as the backdrop-platform.
